Overview

A friendlier interface for talking to language models.

The problem

Chat interfaces inherited the terminal: a log, a prompt, and a blinking cursor. None of that is how conversation actually feels.

What I did

• Explored turn-taking as motion rather than as stacked bubbles.
• Gave replies a settling animation so arrival reads as thinking, not as printing.
• Prototyped voice input as a first-class mode instead of a microphone icon.

Outcome

An exploration, not a product. Two of the interaction ideas ended up in client work.
